Stormy. We didn't realize how appropriate her name would turn out to be. Our favorite from a set of her mother's famous triplet doelings, we fell in love with her wattles and her cuddly personality. We were very excited for her first freshening and she didn't disappoint. Her production was very much what we expected as an offspring of her dam, but surprisingly easier to milk. Unfortunately she suffered a teat end injury very early in her lactation, which became infected and she ended up losing the bottom ~1/8 inch of that teat. After we finished treating that teat/udder half, we had to dry her off for the season and that teat was leaking. We have elected to give her a year off to see if that side is able to scar up and allow her to continue a productive life with us, so we will be anxiously awaiting 2016 babies from her!
